Eliza Kingsbury is a New York City based comedy writer, producer, and actor. She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Accademia dell'Arte (Arezzo, Italy), and Royal Holloway University of London. In 2011 she moved to NYC to pursue comedy and started taking classes at Upright Citizens Brigade. She was accepted in to the Advanced Improv curriculum in 2013 and completed the core program in both Improv and Sketch in 2015. At UCB she has been lucky enough to study with Ari Voukydis, Achilles Stamatelaky, Will Hines, Jordan Klepper, Abra Tabak, Stephen Ruddy, Anthony Atamanuik, Shannon O'Neill, Damian Chadwick, Brandon Bassham, and Caitlin Bitzegaio.
Her solo sketch show "Carson Daly's Last Request" premiered at the PIT NYC in January 2017. In 2016, she was invited to join Bridge and Tunnel, which performs monthly at the PIT and tours Montreal Sketch Festival. She was in a running show at Upright Citizens Brigade called "The Dead Dads Club", written by Kristen Bartlett and directed by Michael Hartney. This show was the best thing in the world, and if you missed it, you missed something great. Other performances at UCB include Movie Cram, Sketch Cram, OSFUG Fast Fuckin' Character Show, Gentrify, New Team Maude, and many many Sketch 301 graduate performances.
While not performing comedy, she bartends and her karaoke go-tos are Shania Twain and 90s R&B.
